Participate in art classes and workshops taught by fine artist and arts educator, Rose Irelan, and Do Art! Established in 2002, the Rose Art Centre is the only Atelier Fine Art School for children and teens in Southern California! Classes are held in our beautiful Art Studio in convenient Scripps Ranch location.

ADULT/TEEN
PORTRAIT PAINTING
Ages 15 - ADULT        
LEVEL: Some drawing experience helpful

The painting class you have been waiting for!  Rose will lead her students in the necessary procedures to create great portraiture work. We will start the quarter with learning from the Masters by doing Facial feature studies We will then move on to painting from life with a live models. Individualized instruction, critiques and instructor demos are a unique and interactive aspect of our teaching method that greatly benefits our students.

COST: $400 + $40 model fee

PASTEL DRAWING FUN!
Ages 7 - 18      
LEVEL:  All  
Wednesdays 4:30 - 6:00

We will be learning how to draw with the colorful and fun medium of Pastels. Students will get the opportunity to work on a variety of fun projects: animals, flowers, famous artists and landscapes.

IMPRESSIONIST PAINTING
Ages 9 - and up        
LEVEL:  BEGINNING - INTERMEDIATE (at least one drawing class pre-requisite)

Saturday Mornings
9:30 - 11:30
May 1- June 26th (no class on May 29th)

Our artists will learn about mixing colors, brushmanship, and necessary procedures to paint. They will learn about how to simplify shapes and how an artist sees. We will work from still life and from some of the our favorite Famous Artists to learn how to paint! If you have been waiting to paint and you have taken some drawing, this is the class for you!

ESSENTIAL PAINT LESSONS FROM THE MASTERS   
LEVEL:  ALL,  ADULT

(no class Monday May 31st. Last class will be on Sunday June 20 instead of Monday June 21st.)

Have you always had the desire to paint and just don’t know where to start? Or do you need specific instruction and input from an experienced painter? This class is designed from the age-old Atelier tradition of reproducing Master’s work under the guidance of an experienced teacher and artist. The beauty of working from a masters’ art is that one can really focus on learning to paint since much of the preliminary work is already done by the artist. Students will work with a couple of color palettes from other painters and learn hands on... essential procedures to begin and continue the creative journey in learning how to paint. A very fun and rewarding class.

• Class sizes are limited to 7 students per class (occasionally an extra student or drops in for a make up class)
• Credit Cards and Personal checks accepted, except for American Express
• Rose Art Centre has the right to cancel or reschedule class if needed (i.e. too small of class size). In such a circumstance the student will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund will be returned to student
