Budding artist in the family?
Do you feel like you want to learn more about art but don’t know where to start or how to use the materials properly?
Do you have a child that seems to excel at creativity but doesn’t get enough exposure to art in school or at home?  Do Art!

Perhaps a busy lifestyle seems to be getting in the way of enjoying the simple joy of creating art. The fact is; Art is major cultural force and can be a great springboard for many fantastic careers as well as just be plain fun and relaxing to do! Enhanced concentration and focus, improvement in fine motor skills and dexterity, and a joy in seeing the world around you as an artist are just a few of the gifts of learning and doing art! Art helps children and adults to stretch their imaginations, encourages focus, and brings creative joy while developing your mind and spirit!

Join Rose Irelan, artist and arts educator for the opportunity to unleash your creative potential. Rose’s teaching methodology draws from Atelier Classical techniques passed down for centuries and from her own unique life experiences as a Commercial artist, Fine Artist and a mother.  She brings the discipline of drawing and painting to students of many ages and abilities. She inspires her students with her enthusiasm and love of art while encouraging them to take the time to learn core techniques and principles—a rewarding and worthwhile pursuit. Rose Arts Centre provides highly individualized art instruction in an intimate environment, providing training in the visual arts to take students to their artistic potential. Whether you enjoy art as a hobby or you need to build a portfolio for entry to design school or are considering a career in the arts you will benefit greatly from Rose’s instruction.

Mrs. Irelan has a degree in Illustration and Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design. She worked as a commercial artist and art director for more than 20 years creating award winning brand identities, advertising, web sites, CD covers and more.

Following her lifelong passion of painting and drawing and feeling compelled to bring art into young peoples lives (as it has been taken out of public schools) has motivated Mrs. Irelan to further open the Rose Arts Centre and further her career as an Arts Educator and Fine Artist.  She continues her art studies with living Arts Masters; Jeff Watts, Calvin Liang, Jeremy Lipking, Steve Huston and Carolyn Anderson and more. She paints outdoors (in plein air) and does portraits and landscapes in her studio where she also teaches. Currently Mrs. Irelan is working on a series of Ballerina paintings as she continues to provide quality art instruction, as well as portfolio and career consultation for young artists preparing to enter into design or art school.

Fueled by her passion of the arts and concern about art education being removed from the classroom in California schools, Ms. Irelan began to actively teach art enrichment to all ages in local school classrooms and from her Scripps Ranch Artist Studio. Because art has been her passion from childhood she feels compelled to pass on what she has learned to others. She has developed a unique fine art curriculum for children and teens and currently has administered and taught the Dingeman 6th Grade Fine Art Program since 2003. Her program is rich in visual problem solving, drawing techniques, color theory, creative concepting, art history, and practical applications of art and design. She has had many positive discoveries about the benefits of art education throughout her experiences. “Since art is such a visual discipline it opens the doors for many students who have trouble in other areas of school as they simultaneously discover that they are very talented in art”. She has found that doing art teaches her students a skill just like music and sports. By learning these skills students gain a great deal of confidence that brings them freedom of expression applicable to school projects as well as their own artistic endeavors. With the wealth of her professional experience she teaches the values and understandings of great design and problem solving - qualities that are used in every business discipline of the world and continue to contribute to our culture.
