The crashing King Tide wave captures a sense of movement and freedom, of the unrestrained and untamed ocean. Sourced by my plein air study, I was inspired by the serene and evocative atmosphere of the sunset, the sea spray and the inviting tide pools. I enjoyed playing with the juxaposition of the cool teals and lavenders against the warm peaches and pinks.
